Public Pages
Build and publish live pages you can share with anyone, no login required to view.
Public Pages let you build and publish live pages that you can share with anyone. Unlike the rest of Vanta, a published page needs no login to view. Anyone with the URL can open it and see the current data for your project.
What are Public Pages
A Public Page is a single composed page built from components such as headings, paragraphs, lists, dividers, charts, metrics, uptime monitors, and event tables. You assemble a page from these components in the dashboard, then publish it under a unique slug. The resulting page is served to visitors without any authentication.
Authoring and management routes require project admin access. Only a project admin can create, edit, or publish a page. Viewing a published page is open to everyone.
How data is loaded
A published page resolves its data live on every request. It is not a static snapshot frozen at publish time. Each time a visitor loads the page, the current data for every component is recomputed and rendered, so charts, metrics, and uptime reflect the latest state of your project.
Common use cases
Because you can mix headings and prose with live charts, metrics, uptime, and event tables, a single page can serve many audiences:
- Public status pages - share uptime for your services with your customers, showing whether everything is operational.
- Shared dashboards - publish a metrics page your whole company or community can reference without creating accounts.
- Live metrics pages - surface a couple of key metrics next to the charts that explain them, all updating on every load.
- Internal usage dashboards - build a page for your own team that combines your internal event data and metrics in one shareable view.
Managing pages
Pages are managed entirely from the dashboard. You create a page, add components, connect each component to a data source, and publish it under a slug. The public URL follows the form shown here:
https://<your-domain>/p/<slug>Access to the management screens is scoped to project admins. Publishing and unpublishing are immediate, and the change takes effect on the next page load.
